DESCRIPTION:Buy one of our delicious cupcakes\, cookies or pies and help raise funds for Shelter City Maastricht during King’s day at Maastricht city park. \nKings Day Fundraiser for Shelter City Maastricht \nShelter City Maastricht is a local human rights program in which an international human rights defender (HRD) is hosted as a guest of our beautiful city and the university. The goal is to offer him or her a brief period (12 weeks) in which they can relax\, build up their skills\, share their stories and regain some of their strength\, before traveling home. All proceeds will go directly to the HRD. SUMMARY:SDG Cafe: Sustainability beyond borders
DESCRIPTION:How can we strengthen cross-border cooperation on sustainability in the Euregio? \nDuring the SDG Café: Sustainability Beyond Borders\, we bring together students\, policymakers\, organisations and engaged citizens from the Netherlands\, Belgium and Germany. The goal: to jointly build a sustainable and future-proof region — beyond borders. \nAt a time when European identity is under pressure and the European agenda is increasingly dominated by geopolitics\, security and technological developments such as AI\, we believe that sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer a shared compass. They provide a common language and direction for collaboration. \nSocietal and ecological challenges do not stop at national borders — in fact\, they create opportunities for resilience and self-reliance. By connecting knowledge\, resources and initiatives across the Euregio\, we can strengthen one another\, accelerate the transition and work together on solutions with real impact. In doing so\, we put our shared European values into practice: human dignity\, freedom\, democracy\, equality\, the rule of law and human rights. \nWhat to expect\n\nInspiring speakers on European sustainability policy and regional opportunities\nAn interactive information market featuring initiatives and organisations from the Euregio\nNetworking opportunities during a closing reception to exchange ideas and spark new collaborations\n\nWho is it for?\nAnyone committed to or interested in sustainability and cross-border collaboration — from students and policymakers to civil society organisations and local initiatives. \nWhy participate?\n\nMeet potential partners for cross-border projects\nGain insight into funding opportunities and policy frameworks\nGet inspired by concrete examples from the region\nContribute to a stronger and more sustainable Euregio network\n\nTogether\, we translate global challenges into local action.Together\, we are stronger — united in diversity. \nJoin the SDG Café and learn how we can strengthen cross-border collaboration for sustainability in de Euregion. \n\nDate:  8 May 2026\nTime: 14.30-18.00hr\nLocation: tbc\, Maastricht\nFor whom: sustainable changemakers (citizens\, policy makers\, entrepreneurs\, volunteers\, educators) from the EUregion\nMore info: sdghouse@mondiaalmaastricht.nl\n\n#MoMa #MoveYourWorld #ActLocalThinkGlobal

SUMMARY:Sustainable Career Fair
DESCRIPTION:The first Sustainable Career Fair connects students\, graduates and refugees with innovative businesses working towards a sustainable future. \nOn 12 May 2026\, SDG House Maastricht and KAN (Klimaatactie Netwerk Maastricht) team up to organise the first Sustainable Career Fair: an inspiring event that connects students\, graduates\, refugees and organisations working towards a more sustainable and innovative future. \nThe fair brings together local talent from Maastricht University and Zuyd Hogeschool with businesses that see themselves as changemakers. It offers a unique opportunity to meet\, exchange ideas and explore meaningful career paths that contribute to positive impact. \nVisitors can engage directly with organisations at the career fair\, and attend workshops and inspiration sessions that highlight developments in sustainable business\, innovation and responsible corporate practices. \nOur aim is to create a dynamic space where students\, employers and community partners come together to connect\, collaborate and shape the future. \nSpecial programme: International talent\nMaastricht is home to a large community of international students and migrants/refugees. However\, many leave the region after graduation due to limited awareness of local career opportunities and hiring processes. \nThat is why the programme also includes the panel discussion:“Opening Doors for International Students” — an open dialogue on talent retention and international career opportunities in the Netherlands. \nRead more on our page. \n\nDate: 12 May 2026\nTime: 14.00-18.00hr\nLocation: tbc\, Maastricht\nFor whom: (international) students\, migrants\, refugees\, sustainable entrepreneurs\nMore info: sdghouse@mondiaalmaastricht.nl\nSign up now: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tickets-sustainable-career-fair-1985815479556?aff=oddtdtcreator\n\n#MoMa #MoveYourWorld #ActLocalThinkGlobal
